Description

Lead a shop that changes lives

Every purchase in our charity shops helps Naomi and Jack's provide expert care and support to children, young adults and families across the South of England.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Shop Manager to lead our Basingstoke store. If you're passionate about retail, enjoy leading people and love delivering great customer experiences, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Whether you're already a Shop Manager or looking to progress from an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or Supervisor role, we'd love to hear from you.


What you'll be doing

As Shop Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact by:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of our busy charity shop
  • Inspiring, supporting and developing a team of staff and volunteers
  • Creating an attractive and welcoming shopping environment
  • Maximising sales and profit through excellent merchandising and stock management
  • Building relationships within the local community
  • Managing shop administration, financial controls and banking procedures
  • Ensuring high standards of customer service, health and safety, and compliance

What we're looking for

  • An experienced retailer with supervisory or management experience
  • A confident leader who enjoys motivating and developing others
  • Passionate about delivering first-class customer service
  • Organised, proactive and commercially aware
  • Comfortable managing stock, sales and shop operations
  • A great communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic about supporting the work of Naomi and Jack's
  • Experience within charity retail would be preferable but not essential.

More about this role:

We are looking for someone to work full time, 5 days over 6 (35 hours per week). This role will include some Saturday working.

Hourly rate of pay: £14.05 per hour

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
