Make your work count

We are opening a new Rowcroft shop at Kings Ash Way in Paignton, next to Lidl, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Shop Manager to bring it to life.

Our shops sit at the heart of their communities. They offer a warm welcome, a great shopping experience and an important way for local people to support Rowcroft. Every sale, donation and conversation helps us raise vital funds for people living with life-limiting illnesses and those closest to them across South Devon.

This is an opportunity to shape a new shop from the outset, build a strong team of volunteers and create a place that customers want to visit again and again.

The role

You will lead the day-to-day running of the shop, combining excellent customer service with confident commercial decision-making. You will create a welcoming and inclusive environment, maintain high standards of presentation and help your team understand the difference their contribution makes. You will

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
