Pluro is building a new internal development team and is looking for an experienced Shopify developer to join us.
The role will begin with a paid contract trial, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position if it is a strong fit on both sides.
We are a Shopify agency specialising in sports-led commerce, subscription systems and complex ecommerce delivery. We need a developer who can produce high-quality work, contribute to solutions and take ownership rather than simply complete isolated tickets.
The role
You will work closely with our project manager, solutions resource, designers and founder to:
- Build and improve Shopify themes
- Translate Figma designs into accurate responsive experiences
- Develop custom sections, templates and theme functionality
- Work with Shopify APIs, apps and third-party integrations
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Improve performance, accessibility and code quality
- Support Shopify migrations and ongoing client retainers
- Review requirements and suggest better technical approaches
- Test your work thoroughly across desktop and mobile
- Provide clear updates, estimates and technical documentation
- Use AI development tools to improve speed without compromising quality

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
