ThePlaceToBe are partnering with a fast-growing consumer retail brand that's continuing to invest heavily in its digital experience. Following a period of sustained growth, the business is looking to appoint a Shopify Developer to help shape and evolve its ecommerce platform, delivering an exceptional online experience for customers while supporting ambitious commercial growth plans.

About the role...

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Shopify Developer who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial thinking. Working closely with the ecommerce, marketing and creative teams, you'll take ownership of the website, delivering new functionality, improving performance and ensuring a seamless customer journey that drives engagement and conversion.

What you'll be doing day to day...

  • Develop, customise and maintain the Shopify website using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Deliver new features and enhancements to improve user experience, conversion and site performance.
  • Manage Shopify apps, third-party integrations and ongoing website optimisation.
  • Support CRO initiatives, A/B testing and SEO best practices to drive online growth.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure a seamless customer experience across all devices.
  • Collaborate with ecommerce, marketing and creative teams to deliver campaigns, product launches and ongoing site improvements.

About you...

You'll be a proactive Shopify Developer who enjoys working in a fast-paced ecommerce environment where no two days are the same. You'll have a strong eye for detail, a passion for creating exceptional online experiences, and enjoy collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams to deliver commercially impactful solutions.

What we're looking for...

  • Previous experience developing and maintaining Shopify websites.
  • Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify APIs.
  • Experience building, customising or redesigning Shopify stores.
  • Good understanding of ecommerce best practice, UX and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
  • Commercial mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience within a retail, fashion or consumer ecommerce environment would be advantageous.
