Mid-Weight Shopify Developer
Haslo | Manchester (Hybrid) | £40,000–£45,000
About Haslo
We're a Manchester-based eCommerce agency specialising in Shopify development and paid media for premium Fashion, Beauty and Jewellery brands. We've grown 40% net year-on-year for two consecutive years, with 100% of our work coming through referrals. We're small, profitable, and building something with real momentum.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Mid-Weight Shopify Developer to own development delivery across our client portfolio. You won't be a cog in a ticket queue - you'll be running builds, features and fixes for established brands with genuine autonomy from day one, working directly with the founder.
In line with modern AI development, we use Claude Code to turn around client requirements at pace - while making sure everything we ship meets our standards for coding style, languages and structure. We want someone who genuinely cares about their code and their work, but who also knows how to integrate AI - Claude Code or other tooling - into their day-to-day to make client work better and deliver it efficiently.
This is an early hire into a growing team, and you'd have real influence over how we build the development function - our tooling, our standards, and eventually the people who join after you. There's a genuine leadership path here, not just a title bump down the road.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Scope and deliver features end-to-end, communicating directly with clients where needed.
- Shape how we scale development at Haslo - the processes, the tooling, and the team.
- Run and direct A/B tests with the wider Haslo team and client teams on client stores, improving performance, conversion rates and site behaviour consistently to help our clients grow.
