Shopify Transformation Consultant
6-Month Contract | Outside IR35 | £500–£650 per day | Flexible UK Location
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Transformation Consultant to lead a major ecommerce platform transformation for an established international consumer brand.
The organisation is moving to Shopify Plus across multiple markets and channels, and you will take client-side ownership of the programme from delivery through to launch and post-launch stabilisation.
Location: Flexible UK-wide, with occasional travel to Bristol.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Shopify transformation through to successful launch.
- Act as the senior client-side Shopify expert, managing and challenging external agencies.
- Own programme plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and budget tracking.
- Provide technical leadership across Shopify Plus architecture, apps, themes and integrations.
- Lead integrations with ERP, CRM, loyalty, fulfilment and other business systems.
- Own customer, product, order, content and SEO migration activity.
- Lead testing, UAT, go-live readiness and post-launch support.
- Work with Product, Digital, Marketing and wider business stakeholders.
- Build internal knowledge and capability around the new platform.

About You
- Strong Shopify Plus experience, including architecture, checkout, apps, Functions and themes.
- Proven experience delivering a significant Shopify transformation or migration.
- Ideally experienced migrating from Magento / Adobe Commerce.
- Strong client-side experience managing and challenging agencies or delivery partners.
- Excellent programme and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of ecommerce integrations and data migration.
- Experience with multi-market/international ecommerce.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
