Role Overview
Join Sofina Foods as a Shopper Marketing Manager and help shape how shoppers engage with some of the UK's best-known food brands.
Working closely with Brand, Category and Commercial teams, you'll develop and deliver insight-led activation plans that drive visibility, engagement and sales across major grocery and convenience retailers. From retail media and in-store campaigns to digital activation and e-commerce optimisation, you'll play a key role in connecting brands with shoppers throughout their path to purchase.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shopper Marketing, Customer Marketing or Trade Marketing professional looking to take ownership of retailer activation plans, strengthen customer partnerships and influence category growth within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Duties
- Develop annual shopper marketing plans aligned to brand strategies, retailer priorities and joint business plans.
- Use shopper, retailer and market insights to identify opportunities that drive conversion and category growth.
- Build strong relationships with retailer marketing teams to support joint initiatives and activation opportunities.
- Deliver customer-specific campaigns across retail media, digital channels, POS and in-store activity.
- Manage agency partners to create impactful shopper campaigns and marketing materials.
- Support optimisation of retailer e-commerce platforms, including product content and search visibility.
- Oversee campaign implementation, artwork approvals and production timelines.
- Monitor competitor, retailer and shopper trends to identify emerging opportunities.
- Measure campaign performance and return on investment using retailer and market data.
- Support commercial and category teams with presentations, range reviews and customer sell-in materials.
- Ensure all activity complies with retailer requirements and relevant legislation.
- Manage shopper marketing budgets and support forecasting and reporting activities.

Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in Shopper Marketing, Customer Marketing or Trade Marketing within an FMCG environment.
- Knowledgeable about UK grocery and convenience retail channels.
- Skilled in developing and delivering multi-channel shopper activation campaigns.
- Comfortable working with shopper and market insight tools such as Nielsen or Kantar.
- Commercially aware, with experience evaluating campaign performance and ROI.
- Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident briefing, reviewing and delivering creative and point-of-sale materials.
- An effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Collaborative in your approach and experienced working cross-functionally and with agency partners.
- Curious, proactive and detail focused.
- Degree qualified in Marketing, Business or a related discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- CIM qualified or working towards a qualification, although this is not essential.
