Shops Project Manager - Field-Based

We are looking for a Shops Project Manager to lead retail and operational projects across our network of petrol stations. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel, working closely with site teams, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Given the travel requirements of the role, the successful candidate will ideally be based in or around the Southeast.

About the Role

Reporting to the Retail Director, you will manage and deliver retail projects that support business growth, operational excellence, and customer experience. You'll lead and support the Retail Merchandiser, oversee the Mystery Motorist programme, and help drive consistency, compliance, and retail standards across our network through coaching, training, and support for operational teams.

We're interested in hearing from people with a range of experiences and backgrounds. If you can demonstrate many of the qualities below, we'd encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't align perfectly with every requirement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
