About the Role

We are looking for a creative and commercially minded Short-Form Video Scriptwriter / Social Media Scriptwriter to develop engaging scripted content for social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You will work closely with our content, production, and creative teams to turn ideas into strong, production-ready scripts that capture attention quickly and keep audiences watching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts and scripts for short-form social media videos.
  • Write engaging hooks, storylines, dialogue, character interactions, and calls to action.
  • Create both standalone videos and episodic or recurring content formats.
  • Adapt scripts to different audiences, platforms, brands, and content objectives.
  • Research social media trends, audience behaviours, and popular content formats.
  • Work closely with producers, creators, and content teams to ensure scripts are practical and effective for production.
  • Revise and optimise scripts based on creative feedback and content performance.
  • Support rapid content testing and develop multiple creative angles for different projects.
  • Review performance indicators such as views, retention, engagement, and audience feedback to improve future content.

  • Previous experience in scriptwriting, creative writing, social media content, digital content, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, dialogue, and audience engagement.
  • Ability to communicate an idea clearly and effectively within a short video format.
  • Good understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and current social media trends.
  • Strong creative thinking and ability to generate ideas consistently.
  • Excellent written English and ability to write natural, engaging dialogue.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects.
  • Open to feedback and able to revise content quickly.
  • Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred, particularly for working across international teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for ideation, script development, or content production.
