Description
PURPLE, an industry leader in luxury PR representing top names in Fashion, Lifestyle, and Beauty, is actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Showroom Assistant to join the New York office. This entry-level position supports the full Showroom team with the daily operations of the showroom, following a hands-on rotation schedule with a focus on sample trafficking, returns, packing and shipping, and maintaining an organized space. A key part of the role is helping follow processes in place for send-outs, returns, and intern support — and ensuring those processes are consistently followed. The Showroom Assistant will also oversee interns each semester and provide hands-on support to all teams as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the flow of all samples coming into and out of the showroom using Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS.
- Help ensure consistency across send-outs, returns, and dispatch operations.
- Prepare, pack, and book messengers/couriers or shipments for send-outs, both domestically and internationally.
- Assist with unboxing, checking in, steaming, and organizing samples.
- Maintain a clean and orderly showroom and dispatch area at all times.
- Guide and manage interns (1–2 per semester), ensuring they follow established processes and complete daily tasks.
- Communicate updates on sample availability, delays, or issues to the US Showroom Manager and relevant account teams.
- Support showroom pulls, returns, seasonal send-backs, and Press Day or special projects as needed.

- 1+ years previous retail, showroom, or fashion internship experience.
- Proficiency with Launchmetrics/Fashion GPS preferred but not required (training available).
- Highly organized, proactive, and process-driven, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to help enforce structure and keep others accountable to established workflows.
- Professionalism & Teamwork: We are looking for someone who approaches their work with professionalism, a positive attitude, and a willingness to support the team. The ideal candidate is respectful, dependable, open to feedback, and able to remain composed and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable lifting and moving boxes (up to 30 lbs).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and email.
