Showroom Manager – Omoda & Jaecoo

Location: Batchelors Malton

We’re looking for a full-time Showroom Manager to join our Omoda & Jaecoo team at Batchelors Malton.

This is a hands-on management role and a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy sales department. We’re a family business, so we’re looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and a genuine doer — someone who leads from the front, gets involved and helps make things happen.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. You’ll be on the showroom floor, supporting the sales team, speaking with customers, second-facing deals, helping generate business and making sure opportunities are followed through.

With a £35,000 basic salary and an achievable OTE of £54,500, plus a company car, this is an excellent opportunity to take a key role within our growing Omoda & Jaecoo business in Malton.

About Batchelors

At Batchelors Motor Group, we keep things simple: look after people, work hard and treat everyone as we would expect to be treated ourselves.

From our beginnings in North Yorkshire in the 1980s, we’ve grown into a trusted Omoda, Jaecoo, Suzuki, Renault & Dacia main dealer, while remaining a genuine family-run business.

Being a family business shapes the way we work. We don't want layers of management or people waiting for somebody else to get things done. We value people who take ownership, get involved and bring energy and enthusiasm to the business.

We believe in developing our people too. If you bring the right attitude, drive and work ethic, we’ll give you the training, support and opportunity to progress.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About You

You’ll be someone who naturally leads from the front.

You’ll enjoy being involved with customers and the sales team throughout the day and won’t be afraid to roll your sleeves up when something needs doing. You'll understand that great management isn't just about looking at the numbers — it's about being present, setting the pace and helping the team achieve them.

You’ll be confident managing deals, second-facing customers, coaching the team and maintaining high standards across the showroom.

We’re looking for:

  • A positive, motivated and enthusiastic approach
  • Someone who takes ownership and gets things done
  • Strong automotive sales skills with a genuine commitment to customer care
  • Experience in F&I, deal stacking and second-facing customers
  • The confidence to lead, motivate and develop a sales team
  • A strong understanding of vehicle, finance and add-on product profitability
  • Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • A strong understanding of FCA compliance and sales processes
  • Motor Trade experience, ideally as a Senior Sales Executive, Business Manager, Transaction Manager or Sales Manager

Most importantly, we’re looking for the right attitude and personality. We want someone who brings energy to the showroom, supports the people around them and wants to contribute rather than simply manage.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take an active role in the day-to-day running and performance of the Malton showroom, including:

  • Leading from the front and being visible and active on the showroom floor
  • Supporting the sales team to achieve new and used vehicle targets
  • Managing and developing new and used vehicle sales enquiries
  • Second-facing customers and helping turn opportunities into sales
  • Getting involved with customers and deals when your support can make a difference
  • Driving Finance and add-on product performance across new and used sales
  • Maximising vehicle, finance and add-on product profitability
  • Coaching and developing the sales team
  • Making sure enquiries and opportunities are followed up properly
  • Maintaining excellent showroom and customer experience standards
  • Ensuring FCA compliance and completing monthly self-audits
  • Supporting sales plans, processes and procedures
  • Ensuring Sales Department systems and standards are followed
  • Working closely with the wider management team to continue growing our Omoda & Jaecoo business in Malton
