Build Something New.
King Living is opening its first UK Outlet, and we're looking for the founding leader to bring it to life.
Based within our owner-operated warehouse in Hemel Hempstead, the Outlet gives cancelled orders, customer returns, ex-display pieces and outlet-exclusive products a second opportunity to find the right home, making premium King Living furniture more accessible to customers.
As the Outlet Showroom Manager, you'll launch this exciting new retail concept, shaping the customer experience, team culture and daily operations from day one. Working closely with Warehouse, Customer Service and Support teams, you'll lead a high-performing team while driving strong commercial and operational outcomes.
This is far more than a traditional showroom management role. You'll balance retail leadership, commercial thinking and operational excellence in a hands-on environment where every day is different.
If you're excited by the opportunity to build something new and lead a successful team, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Own
Sales Performance & Customer Experience
- Lead a team that delivers exceptional customer experiences while maximising every sales opportunity.
- Coach your team to execute the King Living Road to Sale with confidence, balancing outstanding service with clear customer expectations around Outlet products, grading, collections, delivery and warranty.
- You'll build long-term customer relationships while ensuring every visitor leaves with confidence in the quality and craftsmanship of King Living furniture.
Inventory Performance & Outlet Operations
- Own the commercial performance of the Outlet floor.
- Working closely with Warehouse and Reverse Logistics teams, you'll oversee inventory flow, showroom replenishment, customer collections and daily operations to ensure stock moves efficiently from warehouse to customer.
- You'll continually optimise product presentation, maximise sell-through and ensure the showroom remains commercially compelling despite constantly changing inventory.
Build the Team
- Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing founding team.
- Create a culture built on ownership, collaboration, adaptability and continuous improvement, where everyone contributes to both customer experience and operational success.
- You'll establish the standards, behaviours and daily operating rhythm that future King Living Outlets will be built upon.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
