Position Overview

Finning is the world's largest Caterpillar dealer. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovative solutions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Showroom Sales Advisor to join our growing team. Based within our retail showroom, you will help customers find the right Caterpillar equipment, attachments, parts, and accessories while delivering a professional and engaging buying experience.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or sales who enjoys working with people and wants to develop a long-term career in a commercial sales environment. You will receive training, develop specialist product knowledge, and gain exposure to sales, marketing, customer engagement, and business development within the construction equipment industry.

If you are driven, personable, and enjoy helping customers find the right solution, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers into the showroom and provide a friendly, professional, and memorable experience.
  • Understand customer requirements, recommend suitable equipment, products, and solutions. Demonstrate products and explain their features, benefits, and applications.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and become a trusted point of contact.
  • Support customers throughout their purchasing journey, from initial enquiry through to delivery and after-sales support.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records using CRM systems.
  • Support local marketing activities, product launches, customer events, and promotional campaigns.
  • Re-engage existing and dormant customers to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across sales, service, parts, and operations to support customer success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
