Are you an experienced Brewery Shunter (Class 1 Driver), looking for a change? Would you like to work for one of the market-leading companies with fantastic benefits? If so, we have a great opportunity for you!

GXO Logistics is currently recruiting for a Brewery Shunter (Class 1 Driver) to support operations at its Faversham site in partnership with Shepherd Neame Ltd, Britain's Oldest Brewer

You will be working on a full-time, permanent position, Monday – Friday on a 2-week rotating rota with Bank Holiday working required when operationally necessary

Week 1: 06:00 – 17:00

Week 2: 10:00 – 18:00

What you will do on a typical day:

  • Safely move trailers, kegs, casks, and bottled products between Shepherd Neame's brewery and the GXO distribution site, ensuring the smooth flow of stock across operations
  • Support brewery production areas, including the Keg Plant, Cask Plant, and Bottling Plant, by collecting, delivering, and positioning trailers and equipment as required
  • Operate a drop-and-swap trailer movement process, including trailer curtain operation, load securing, and safe use of trailer landing legs
  • Monitor electric vehicle battery levels and connect vehicles to charging points to maintain operational efficiency
  • Maintain effective communication with operational teams and complete all movements safely in line with site procedures and health & safety standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with a minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
  • Ability to successfully complete a driver assessment and pass a satisfactory licence check
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, compliance, and safe working practices
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently and liaise effectively with operational teams
  • Experience within logistics, transport, or warehouse environments, along with knowledge of vehicle safety checks and load security procedures, would be advantageous
