LGV C+E Driver / Shunter - Nights - based Stoke on Trent

Pay Rate: £42,795 per annum based on 42 hour week

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: 3 week shift pattern - wk 1 - Sun-Wed, wk 2 - Tues-Fri and wk 3 - Sun,Mon, Thurs and Fri - covering start times between 17:00-20:30

Location: Stoke on Trent - ST4 2TP

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Yard Shunter to play a vital role in our distribution service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

  • Work pattern - shift pattern - Either Sun-Wed, Tues-Fri or a split week Sun, Mon, Thurs and Fri - 2 shifts shunting and 2 shifts trunking
  • Yard shunting of trailers with a Terberg shunter and Cat C vehicles on and off of loading bays (approx 40-50 movements a shift)
  • LGV C+E trunking to Scunthorpe, Avonmouth, Wellingborough or Harlow
  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
  • Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
  • Additional shifts on the road and shunting duties to cover holiday and sickness as available

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
  • You MUST have previous yard shunting experience with a Terberg shunter
  • You MUST live locally to Stoke ST4 2TP
