Role Description
This SIA Door Supervisor role is based in and around the North West of England. The Door Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Monitoring entrances and exits
- Managing queues
- Checking identification
- Ensuring only authorized individuals gain entry to venues, events, and festivals

- Maintaining a visible and approachable presence
- De-escalating conflicts
- Responding to incidents
- Working closely with venue/event management and emergency services when required
The Door Supervisor will:
- Complete incident reports
- Log security activities
- Follow all site-specific procedures and legal requirements
The position requires working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, while consistently delivering a courteous and professional service to customers and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor license and strong knowledge of relevant UK laws, regulations, and venue security procedures.
- Experience in conflict management, de-escalation techniques, and handling difficult situations calmly and safely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse customers, staff, and stakeholders.
- Good observational skills, situational awareness, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work on your feet, and respond quickly to incidents as needed.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a security team and independently when required.
- Basic report writing skills and the ability to complete clear, accurate incident and activity logs.
- Previous experience in door supervision, event security, or similar roles is preferred; additional training in first aid is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays according to operational needs.
