SIA Response Officer - Cardiff

We are currently recruiting experienced SIA Response Officers to join our team for the upcoming Summer and Winter 2026 event season. This will include supporting transport operations and crowd management for major sporting and public events across South Wales and surrounding areas.

About the Role

We are seeking professional and reliable SIA-licensed Response Officers who can provide a proactive security presence, respond confidently to incidents and support our clients in delivering safe and successful events. We welcome applications from experienced security professionals with backgrounds including:

  • Event security (festivals, stadiums, event venues)
  • Door Supervision (pubs, clubs, licensed venues)
  • Hospital and healthcare security

  • Hourly rate: £15.00 per hour (including holiday pay)

Please note that due to the nature of the events industry, this position is offered on a fixed-term contract. Event schedules can vary throughout the year, and we cannot guarantee the same number of hours every month. Some periods will be busier than others, so flexibility is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and visible security presence at events
  • Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies and security concerns
  • Conduct regular mobile patrols, security checks and site inspections
  • Support crowd management operations and maintain a safe environment
  • Assist customers with information, guidance and direction
  • Work closely with operational teams, supervisors and clients
  • Follow company procedures, policies and operational instructions
  • Complete incident reports and relevant documentation when required
  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining security standards

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (mandatory)
  • Minimum 2 years’ proven experience within the security industry
  • Previous event security experience is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in a response-based security role, including dealing with incidents, emergencies, conflict situations and operational challenges
  • Experience working in high-pressure environments where quick decision-making and professionalism are required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm, professional and in control during challenging situations
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to provide a checkable 5-year work/study history (subject to a 6-week probation period)

Please note: This is an experienced SIA Response Officer position. Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous security experience, confidence in responding to incidents, carrying out patrol duties and maintaining a safe environment in line with client and operational requirements.
