We're launching SIA licence courses at our Brighton centre. We need an experienced trainer who can send out door supervisors who are safe, confident and ready for work from day one.
About us
Tempus Training is a Brighton-based compliance and e-learning training provider, rated Outstanding (Grade 1) by Ofsted. Through our new Tempus Courses brand, we're bringing the same standards to licence-to-practise training: SIA, first aid, CSCS and more. Most of our learners come to us to get into work, and we have strong links with regional employers and recruiters to help them get there.
About the role
You'll be the lead trainer for our SIA programme from launch. In your first year, you'll help us build a Door Supervisor programme known for high pass rates, strong reviews and learners who move straight into jobs.
What you'll do
- Deliver the SIA Door Supervisor course over 6 days: live online knowledge sessions with practical classroom sessions
- Deliver Door Supervisor and Security Officer refresher courses
- Teach and assess conflict management and physical intervention safely, and record practical assessments to SIA and awarding body standards (Highfield)
- Prepare learners for their exams, and keep accurate attendance and assessment records for quality assurance
- Deliver Emergency First Aid at Work within our Door Supervisor + First Aid courses, if you're qualified to
- Help shape our course materials and live online sessions as we grow

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
