Side Engineer Poly Devices & Microsoft Teams - SC clearance - Derby

Location: Derby, United Kingdom

Contract: 3 weeks initially, with potential for extension

Rate: £240-£250 per day, Insite IR 35

Working Arrangement: On-site

Number of Positions: 3

Clearance Required: Valid SC Clearance

Start Date: 02/11/2026

About the Role

We are looking for three experienced Field Engineers to support a device deployment and provisioning project based in Derby.

The successful engineers will be responsible for the manual provisioning, configuration, certificate enrolment, network authentication, and Microsoft Teams registration of Poly devices.

This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring engineers with strong experience working with Poly voice and collaboration devices, Microsoft Teams-certified endpoints, networking, and device certificates.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Engineers will be responsible for:

  • Manually provisioning and configuring Poly devices.
  • Configuring Microsoft Teams settings and registering devices.
  • Setting up and applying base configuration files.
  • Enabling and configuring device administrative access.
  • Configuring device network settings.
  • Completing SCEP certificate enrolment.
  • Configuring and validating 802.1x authentication.
  • Installing required Root and Intermediate certificates.
  • Generating CSRs where required.
  • Configuring Poly Rove devices for the Microsoft SIP Gateway.
  • Testing device connectivity and registration.
  • Troubleshooting provisioning and configuration issues.
  • Validating devices are fully operational and ready for deployment.
  • Recording completed device configurations and outstanding issues.
  • Providing daily progress updates to the project team.
  • Supporting final project reporting and handover.

Required Experience

Candidates should have:

  • Previous experience working as a Field Engineer / Deployment Engineer / EUC Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience provisioning and configuring Poly devices.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams-certified endpoints.
  • Good understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience with 802.1x authentication.
  • Experience with SCEP and device certificate enrolment.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical deployment procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently on-site.
  • A professional and customer-focused approach.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • Valid SC Clearance
  • UK-based / able to work in the UK
  • Availability to work on-site in Derby
  • Availability for the initial 3-week contract
  • Relevant hands-on Poly device experience
  • Microsoft Teams device experience
  • Experience with SCEP and/or certificate-based authentication
  • Experience with 802.1x
