Sign Installation Engineer

Nottingham
Full Time

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Signage Installation Engineer to join our dedicated team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, timely, and high-quality installation of a variety of signage solutions across client sites. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, strong technical ability, and a keen eye for detail, with a focus on delivering excellent results and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Signage Installation
    • Install a wide range of signage systems, including internal and external signs, illuminated signage, vinyl graphics, totems, and digital displays.
    • Operate power tools and equipment safely to affix signage to various surfaces (e.g., brickwork, cladding, glazing).
    • Follow installation drawings and specifications with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Project Coordination

    • Work closely with project managers and site personnel to plan installation logistics.
    • Conduct site surveys and resolve any technical challenges encountered during installation.
    • Complete all necessary documentation including job sheets, installation records, and site photographs.
  • Health & Safety Compliance

    • Adhere to health and safety procedures, including carrying out risk assessments and following method statements.
    • Always ensure appropriate use of PPE and site safety practices.
    • Identify and report potential hazards promptly.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in signage installation or a related industry such as construction, shopfitting, or electrical works.
  • CSCS card, IPAF, PASMA, S.P.A, Asbestos awareness, and other site-related certifications advantageous.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand construction and fixing methods.
  • Comfortable working at height and with access equipment (e.g., scaffolding, cherry pickers).
  • Competent in the use of hand and power tools.
