About the Role
Own verification that turns complex silicon architecture into reliable AI compute hardware.
As a Silicon Verification Engineer, you will:
- Help ensure Graphcore RTL matches the architecture specification
- Protect silicon quality before designs move into physical implementation
- Work at the intersection of architecture, logical design, and verification, directly influencing how issues are found, understood, and resolved
This role demands technical depth with a clear impact:
- Plan verification, define coverage goals, generate tests
- Diagnose failures and improve shared infrastructure
- Drive discipline, pace, and quality for AI compute programs at scale
The Team and Culture
The verification team collaborates closely with Architecture, Logical Design, and Physical Design teams, guided by:
- Clear plans, coverage goals, test results, and real-time technical feedback
- A culture of ownership, transparency, and collaborative problem-solving
- Decisions made through technical reasoning, shared data, and practical trade-offs

Requirements
- Experience in:
- Verification of CPU, ASIC, or related silicon designs
- UVM, SVA, assembly, compilers, Git, or DRM tools
- Skills in:
- Planning verification work and driving functional coverage to closure
- Debugging across RTL, software, and verification infrastructure
- Confidence in SystemVerilog and Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
