Job Description

We’re currently looking for a fantastic nanny to support a lovely family with their 16-month-old twins in Silverdale, starting Monday 5 October. The role is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with hours of 9.00am–4.00pm on Monday and Friday and 9.00am–5.00pm on Wednesday. Both parents will often be working from home; however, this is a sole-charge position, so the family is looking for someone who is confident and experienced in independently caring for two toddlers.

The twins are active, curious and lots of fun, and the family is looking for a warm, experienced and highly proactive nanny who genuinely enjoys engaging with young children, getting out and about, and becoming a trusted part of a busy household. The role will include age-appropriate play and activities, planning outings to parks, beaches, playgroups and other local activities, preparing healthy meals and snacks, managing the twins’ daily routine including meals and naps, and keeping their toys, clothing and belongings organised. There will also be some light household support related to the children, such as folding and putting away their washing, tidying toys and keeping their spaces organised. The family is looking for someone who takes initiative and notices what needs doing without needing to be directed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Previous experience caring for twins or confidently managing multiple children under three is essential, along with strong baby and toddler experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, fun, energetic, calm and capable, reliable and trustworthy, and ideally looking for a longer-term position. Baby/child first aid certification and a full, clean driver’s licence are also required. International nanny experience, formal nanny training, or experience working with high-profile or particularly busy households would be a significant bonus.

There may also be opportunities for occasional additional hours, including evening babysitting or extra support when required. The family is really hoping to find someone who goes beyond simply supervising the children—someone who brings initiative, energy and fun while helping keep life with twins organised and running smoothly.

We’d love to hear whether you have any candidates who may be a good fit, and would also appreciate information about your process and fees for assisting with the search.
