Simulation and Modelling Engineer

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 Dependent on Experience
Location: Bristol – Predominantly On-Site

About the Role:

Join a leading-edge team in the defence sector, where your expertise in simulation and modelling will directly influence the development of next-generation guided weapons.

As a Simulation and Modelling Engineer, you will integrate complex system models to support a variety of stakeholders, including performance engineers, training teams, and in-service support units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple high-profile projects, gaining a comprehensive understanding of advanced defence platforms.
  • Develop and integrate system-level models using tools such as Simulink.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering development and validation.
  • Contribute to the creation of synthetic environments for training and simulation purposes.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A good understanding of simulation environments (e.g. MATLAB and Simulink, or similar) and programming languages (e.g. FORTRAN, C/C++).
  • Understanding of change and configuration control processes is considered an advantage (e.g. Rational Team Concert).
  • Ability to identify and solve sophisticated problems and gather the information needed to drive through to ultimate solutions.
  • Practical knowledge of basic systems engineering principles and processes.
  • You must be a British Citizen eligible for high-level security clearance.
