Simulation Fellow

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic doctor to join the Postgraduate Medical Education Department at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals as a Simulation Fellow. This role will support the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of simulation-based education across postgraduate medical and dental training.

Role Overview

The post holder will work closely with the Medical Education Technology Team, senior education faculty, postgraduate doctors, multidisciplinary colleagues, and specialty teams to strengthen simulation provision across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting existing simulation programmes
  • Developing in-situ and skills-based training
  • Contributing to faculty development
  • Helping shape a Trust-wide simulation strategy aligned to education, patient safety, and workforce development priorities
  • Supporting faculty development
  • Helping produce effective training materials
  • Maintaining accurate records of simulation activity
  • Contributing to local and regional simulation networks
  • Supporting innovation in simulation and digital learning technologies
  • Ensuring training is inclusive, multidisciplinary, and aligned to service needs
