SIPP and SSAS Support Administrator - Hybrid/ Edinburgh
At Punter Southall SIPP our aim is to maintain a high-quality administration service both in the Pension Accumulation and Decumulation phases, delivering exceptional service and support to our clients.
Punter Southall SIPP staff must adhere to the FCA’s Consumer Duty requirements, which incorporates and is not limited to the fair treatment of customers and Conduct Risk.
We are looking for an experienced SIPP and SSAS Support Administrator to join our busy and welcoming team.
What does a SIPP and SSAS Support Administrator do?
The SIPP and SSAS Support Administrator’s role is to provide administration support for the SIPP and SSAS team, in a professional and team orientated manner. Punter Southall SIPP staff must adhere to the FCA’s Fair Treatment of Customers consumer outcomes and Conduct Risk requirements.
Your responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
- Opening the post and distribution to team members based in Edinburgh and Birmingham offices
- Print, copy and post documents for team members based in Edinburgh and Birmingham offices
- Answer team calls and redirect to team members/take messages for call backs accordingly
- Set up new business applications, to include opening bank accounts via the iSite platform, Platinum data inputting, sending transfer forms to other providers
- Complete and issue Wake Up and Investment Pathway letters
- Complete and issue SIPP review packs, including drawdown quotes
- Complete SIPP and SSAS GAD reviews
- In the absence of the Payments & Reconciliations administrator:-
- SIPP bank balance reconciliations; converting and reconciling data within Platinum, plus reconciliation of the main trustee account;
- create and issuing of SIPP and SSAS invoices and payment;
- twice monthly creation of SIPP and SSAS payroll, paying net payments to clients and PAYE payments to HMRC;
- quarterly creation of SIPP and SSAS VAT returns and payments to HMRC;
- issue the monthly SIPP contribution return and distribute tax relief received
- Create mail merges from data within Platinum for pre-prepared mailers; issue letters generated
- Utilising relationships with inter-company and external professional connections, including accountants and financial advisers
- Daily creation of payments using the Bank of Scotland’s iSite and Corporate Banking Online systems
- Liaising with regulators bodies where required, such as HMRC and The Pensions Regulator
- Ensure that the electronic filing and Platinum records are up to date with member details and all relevant policy information
- Follow workflow processes via SharePoint
- Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of business
- Successfully complete compulsory Anti-Money Laundering and Information Security training, plus any other mandatory compliance or regulatory training as required by the business, PSG and the regulators
- Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities

Who are we looking for?
Between 2 and 5 years of administration experience within the SIPP and SSAS industry would be preferable but can have knowledge from within the financial services sector.
Strong Mathematical and English skills, evidence by a minimum C grade at GCSE/3 Standard Grade.
Ideally educated to a minimum of A Level/Higher Standard, or equivalent qualification.

Experience of having worked within an independent trustee or investment management environment would be preferable.
Skills should include:
- Excel - create spreadsheets, use f basic formulae.
- Wrd - create and format documents to a high standard.
- Outlok - utilisation of emails

- Delta’s Platinum and Reprt~Pro systems.
- Bank f Scotland’s iSite and Corporate Banking Online platforms.
