Leadership Role in Diabetes and Endocrinology Care
Are you ready to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact in diabetes and endocrinology care? We are excited to invite applications for the position of Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team on Vickers 3 at the Northern General Hospital.
About the Ward
Our Acute Diabetes and Endocrinology Wards provide high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals with complex medical needs, including those with mental health conditions. Each ward has a unique specialty.
Vickers 3 is the designated haven for individuals with eating disorders, providing holistic and compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Key Requirements
We're seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have:
- A proven track record in delivering high standards of care.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- A passion for diabetes and endocrinology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and support the team.

Role Responsibilities
As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in leading, inspiring, and supporting a team of skilled professionals. This position offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, influence patient care, and contribute to service development within a thriving, fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassion.
- Leading by example, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.
- Supporting the professional development and well-being of staff through mentorship, appraisals, and education.
- Coordinating patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Contributing to the implementation of evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to diabetes, endocrinology, and mental health care.
