This is your opportunity to be a leader and part of a dynamic and caring team.
We are passionate about providing outstanding care to young people and families/carers, at our CAMHS inpatient unit.
You will assist the Ward Manager in all aspects of service provision and delivery of care within the unit. You will provide managerial and clinical supervision to a team of staff and act as a role model, providing supervision, support, and leadership. This role has both clinical and operational duties.
We have access to training to support you to develop your skills, including DBT/Safeguarding/STORM/Physical Health/Eating Disorder/MBT
We will offer you excellent opportunities to develop your leadership skills and you will be well supported by an established and experienced clinical team.
- There is access to staff support groups, monthly supervisions, and reflective practice
- To assist the Ward Manager in the effective operational management of the unit
- To provide clinical leadership to staff from all disciplines including student nurses
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an evidence-based and positive culture within the unit
- To assist in ensuring that all staff in the sphere of managerial responsibility carry out their duties and responsibilities in a manner acceptable to the trust, in keeping with Trust policies and procedures and the unit philosophy and operational policy
- To ensure that the governance and assurance agenda is delivered on the ward
- To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual programs of care for young people with serious mental health issues and/or complex emotional/behavioural difficulties. Coordinate and manage a team of staff
- To provide advice on care for young people with serious mental health issues and/or complex emotional/behavioural difficulties, including significant risk to self and others
- To carry out risk assessments and management plans
- To ensure that a high standard of individualized care is provided in line with the young person's care plan that will assist in recovery and rehabilitation and enhance their daily living skills
- To be involved with Quality Improvement projects, including young people and families in the process
- Involvement with recruitment and staff development
- You will provide line management and clinical supervision to more junior staff
