About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative, forward-thinking nurse who possesses the leadership qualities to manage and support our busy haematology day unit. You will provide expert clinical knowledge and judgment for our staff and patients.
You will be expected to coordinate the unit safely and effectively and be willing to have a "hands on" approach in providing high-quality care, whilst being visible and approachable on the unit at all times.
This is a permanent position and you will be supported by the unit manager and clinical matron.
Responsibilities
- To assist in the safe coordination of the Haematology Day Unit
- To be a senior chemotherapy nurse, supporting junior members of the team.
- To assist with managerial duties
- To supervise and assess students and junior band 5 nurses.
