Are you an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in your leadership journey?

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sister/Charge Nurse to join our fast-paced Medical Assessment Unit (MAU). This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate nurse leader to play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding patient care, supporting staff development, and driving quality improvement within a busy acute medical setting.

As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will lead by example, working in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and professional standards to provide exceptional patient-centred care. You will act as a named nurse for a defined group of patients, coordinating and overseeing their care journey while serving as a visible role model for colleagues, patients and visitors.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the unit, taking charge of the ward and supporting the overall leadership of the service. Working closely with the Ward Manager, you will help ensure the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care while maintaining a proactive approach to achieving Trust objectives and local performance targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
