About the Role
Team MAU are looking for experienced Nurses with a passion for Acute Medicine. If you have a passion for Acute medical Nursing, can work effectively in a fast-paced environment can keep your head under pressure whilst supporting junior staff, then you are exactly what we need on MAU.
We are a busy 23-bedded unit, which takes referrals from the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care, and GP admissions. We treat a variety of medical conditions, along with acutely unwell service users. We are an established team consisting of excellent multi-disciplinary working, various skills, and knowledge, who prides ourselves on striving to achieve our shared vision of moving forward and raising standards.
Responsibilities
Your role is to support the Unit Managers in ensuring the provision of excellent care with compassion for the patients, relatives, and visitors who are cared for within or by the ward, department, service, or team.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the planning, delivery, and evaluation of care to meet the personalized health and wellbeing care needs of patients, in line with the Trust’s Values & Nursing & Midwifery Professional Framework.
- You will provide strong leadership and direction to the team, monitoring and maintaining standards of care and professional practice to support the day-to-day efficient running of the clinical area, service.
