Role Overview
As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be a visible presence on the ward, taking control of situations and managing day-to-day operations in the absence of the ward manager. You will need to be approachable and supportive to all staff, offering advice and guidance when needed. You will lead by example and support junior staff to maintain the ward's high standards.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years orthopaedic nursing experience.
- Innovative, highly motivated, and forward-thinking.
- Ability to manage a busy ward using expert clinical knowledge and judgment.
- Support staff with a 'hands-on' approach in providing high-quality care.
- Visible and approachable presence to support junior staff.
- Support the ward manager with general management duties.
- Understanding of factors affecting patient care, staff development, and compliance with Trust Policies.
