The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced System Integration Test (SIT) Manager to support a major public-sector transformation programme involving multiple interconnected systems and delivery partners.
This is a hands-on Test Management role requiring someone who has personally owned System Integration Testing and UAT, rather than simply participated in the test phases. You will take responsibility for SIT from initial planning and preparation through execution, defect resolution and formal exit, while providing test assurance and leadership across multiple suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) across multiple systems and delivery partners.
- Review requirements and technical integration designs to establish appropriate test coverage.
- Produce SIT Test Plans, test scripts, scenarios, test data and supporting artefacts.
- Lead SIT readiness and Go/No-Go, execution and exit meetings.
- Coordinate a virtual, cross-partner test team and provide clear direction throughout execution.
- Ensure test evidence is captured correctly and maintain appropriate traceability.
- Manage defects through identification, triage, resolution and retesting.
- Produce test status updates, metrics and formal Test Summary Reports.
- Create UAT scripts and coordinate testing directly with business users and stakeholders.
- Lead UAT execution and witness-testing sessions through to acceptance.
- Review and assure test plans, scripts, evidence and other artefacts produced by delivery partners.
- Act as a QA/Test SME, challenging suppliers where required and driving testing best practice.
- Provide assurance across wider functional and non-functional testing, including performance, accessibility and migration testing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
