Talented people are the key to our success.
We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of a significant rail infrastructure scheme in Wixams, focused on welfare works and major earthworks packages associated with the Midland Main Line (MML) Fast and Slow Line enhancements.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will be responsible for planning, managing and delivering the earthworks scope, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. You will play a key role in enabling the successful delivery of the MML Fast and Slow Line earthworks, working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing site operations for earthworks activities.
- Planning and coordinating construction activities to meet programme objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Managing subcontractors and site teams.
- Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager.
- Supporting the delivery of welfare and enabling works required for the project.
- Driving effective communication between stakeholders, project teams and supply chain partners.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience operating at Site Agent level within rail or major civil engineering projects.
- Strong track record of planning and delivering earthworks schemes, including cuttings and embankments.
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors on complex infrastructure projects.
- HNC qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery.
