Site Agent

VolkerStevin | Burnley | Environment Agency Framework

Are you an experienced Site Agent looking to lead projects that make a real difference to communities and the environment? At VolkerStevin, we're delivering essential infrastructure through our Environment Agency framework, and we're looking for a motivated Site Agent to join our team in Burnley. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of project delivery, lead high-performing site teams, and play a key role in delivering complex civil engineering works safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role

You'll provide leadership to site teams, manage project risks and opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of projects from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Manage project programmes, ensuring milestones, critical paths, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Oversee commercial performance, change control, forecasting, and project reporting.
  • Produce monthly progress reviews and client reports.
  • Drive excellence in Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) performance.
  • Manage procurement activities and supply chain performance.
  • Ensure robust management of project risks, opportunities, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead client meetings and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and technical specialists to achieve project objectives.
  • Support, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Ensure quality processes, project documentation, and company procedures are fully implemented.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
