JOB – Site Agent / Sub Agent
LOCATION – Lincolnshire
TERM – Permanent
SALARY – £60,000 - £85,000+ (DOE)
My client is an established engineering and infrastructure business delivering complex civil engineering and construction projects across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth and a major project in Lincolnshire, they are looking for an experienced Site Agent / Sub Agent to join their project delivery team.
Working closely with the project Director, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineering professional to take responsibility for work packages, site delivery, programme, quality, health & safety and subcontractor management on a major MOD/DIO infrastructure project.
The Site Agent / Sub Agent will ideally have:
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- 3–5+ years' experience within a Site Agent, Sub Agent, Section Engineer or Site Engineer position
- Strong experience delivering complex civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Valid CSCS Supervisor/Manager level certification
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles and technical drawings
- Experience with temporary works, RAMS and site-based health & safety
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Good understanding of programme planning, progress monitoring and resource management
- Commercial awareness, with experience supporting project costs and contract administration
- Experience working with NEC/JCT contracts would be advantageous
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- UK right to work and willingness to work on overseas projects where required

The Site Agent / Sub Agent role will involve:
- Taking responsibility for the successful delivery of allocated work packages, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
- Supervising engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
- Supporting the planning and monitoring of project programmes, resources, costs and progress.
- Preparing and reviewing RAMS, method statements, permits and other project documentation.
- Identifying and resolving technical and site-based issues, working closely with the wider project team and client.
- Monitoring health, safety, environmental and quality standards across the project.
- Supporting contract administration and commercial activities, including variations, progress reporting and cost control.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Providing regular updates to the Site Agent and Project Manager and supporting the wider project team where required.
- Working in accordance with company procedures, project specifications and relevant UK construction legislation.
