Here at Brownhills Ormiston Academy, we have an exciting opportunity for a Site Assistant to join our dedicated Site Team. Working on a shift rota, you will play a vital role in maintaining our school environment and ensuring our facilities are safe, secure, and operating effectively for students, staff, and visitors.
As a Site Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the academy by helping to maintain our buildings and grounds to a high standard. This is a varied role that requires a proactive and practical approach, with responsibilities including site maintenance, pool maintenance, health and safety checks, security, and general site support.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed individual who can provide high-quality support to our Site Department.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Have previous experience caretaking or similar site support/grounds work
- Be efficient, organised, and reliable
- Be able to work on your own initiative and comfortable lone working on specific tasks
- Be able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Be a strong team player with a positive and professional attitude
- Have a good level of ICT competency
- Be able to swim, with confidence around water
- Have a willingness to learn pool maintenance if there is no previous experience
