Two Gates Primary School (ATLP)
Two Gates Primary School is seeking to appoint a reliable, practical and hardworking Site Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented school environment and who enjoys a varied, hands-on role.
About The Role
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site, helping to ensure that the premises, grounds and facilities are safe, secure and well maintained.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs around the school site
- Supporting the cleaning, upkeep and presentation of the school buildings and grounds
- Undertaking routine checks and reporting any issues or defects
- Setting up and moving furniture and equipment as required
- Supporting the opening and closing of the school site and ensuring the premises are secure
- Assisting with deliveries and contractors when required
- Supporting health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors
- Responding positively to the day-to-day needs of the school and carrying out other reasonable duties as required

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is practical, reliable and takes pride in their work
- Has good general maintenance and DIY skills
- Is able to work independently and use their initiative
- Has good organisational skills and a flexible approach
- Is able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils, visitors and contractors
- Understands the importance of health and safety within a school environment
- Is approachable, helpful and committed to supporting the wider school community
Previous experience of working in a school or similar environment would be desirable, although a positive attitude, practical skills and a willingness to learn are equally important.
