About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join our dynamic Civils team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven construction professional to take a hands-on role in the successful delivery of a range of civil engineering projects.
The successful candidate will have practical site engineering experience and a strong understanding of construction processes, setting out, quality control and site coordination. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest possible standards.
Duties
- Plan, coordinate and oversee daily site activities to ensure projects progress efficiently and in line with programme requirements
- Carry out setting out and site engineering duties as required
- Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, quality standards and health and safety requirements
- Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and other members of the project team
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources to support the effective delivery of works
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential issues, risks or delays, escalating these where appropriate
- Maintain accurate site records, including setting out information, quality checks, progress reports and material records
- Review drawings and specifications and assist with resolving technical and construction-related issues on site
- Support the implementation of quality control procedures and ensure works are completed to the required standards
- Contribute to the planning and sequencing of works and proactively identify solutions to on-site challenges
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, relevant legislation and health and safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or construction is essential
- A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
- Proven experience in setting out and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Experience using relevant surveying and setting-out equipment, including GPS and Total Stations
- Strong understanding of construction methods, quality standards and health and safety requirements
- Experience coordinating site activities and working closely with subcontractors and site management teams
- Competent in maintaining accurate site documentation and records
- Full Clean Driving Licence

Travel Requirements
Due to the nature of our work, a significant proportion of our projects are located across England. Applicants must be willing and able to travel and work away from home as required.
The Company will provide travel, accommodation and a daily subsistence allowance to support employees working away from home.
