Job ID: 2087 Job Title: Site Delivery Lead / Construction Director Job Location: Sizewell C, Suffolk, Leiston Office Salary: Competitive, Depending on Experience

Bring your expertise to a pivotal role in delivering one of the most significant nuclear infrastructure projects in the UK. As the Site Delivery Lead, you will oversee full lifecycle site delivery, including Capital Works and Principal Contractor responsibilities, supporting the construction of the Sizewell C nuclear power plant. You will lead a team of senior managers and coordinate a broad network of disciplines to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget project execution, making a lasting impact on the UK's energy future.

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record in delivering complex, regulated civil engineering or nuclear projects
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure with a focus on safety, quality, and environmental responsibility
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, especially in matrix, multidisciplinary teams
  • Expertise in contract management, risk mitigation, and project control tools (e.g., Earned Value)
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Deep understanding of nuclear safety culture, legal and regulatory standards (ONR, EA, Nuclear Site Licence)

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Hinkley Point C, Sizewell B, or similar nuclear projects
  • Knowledge of innovative construction methods such as self-climbing formwork, slipform, and post-tensioning
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks like APM or Prince2
  • Ability to operate within a highly regulated environment, including NEC and FIDIC contracts

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Fellow status with ICE, IStructE, or CIOB
  • Demonstrated success in managing project lifecycle from concept to handover, preferably within nuclear or high-security civil environments

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to multiple site locations as needed
  • Relevant health, safety, and environmental certifications
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and safety culture
