QLM is representing a high-profile, growing food manufacturing business seeking to appoint a Site Director to lead one of its key UK manufacturing operations.

This is a significant leadership appointment at a site benefiting from substantial ongoing investment in capacity, automation, and manufacturing capability. Working closely with the Executive team, the Site Director will take full ownership of site performance while leading the operation through its next phase of growth and development.

The Opportunity

Full leadership responsibility for a large, complex manufacturing site, spanning Operations, Engineering, Technical, Supply Chain, Safety, and People.

  • Lead the delivery of an ambitious site growth and investment programme, ensuring new capacity, technology, and infrastructure translate into sustainable operational performance.
  • Develop the site's manufacturing strategy across safety, quality, service, cost, yield, labour, and operational efficiency.
  • Build capability across the leadership team, developing succession, and creating greater accountability throughout the operation.
  • Partner with Engineering and Project teams through CAPEX, installation, commissioning, and operational ramp-up, while protecting customer service and day-to-day production.
  • Identify opportunities to unlock further capacity and productivity from the existing manufacturing footprint.
  • Create a highly visible leadership culture, building engagement across the workforce and ensuring strong communication from the factory floor through to senior leadership.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
