Site Director
£130k - £150k plus package

The opportunity for a Site Director to lead and build the strategy for this next phase is exciting and will need an operations professional who enjoys fast-paced environments while retaining their focus on quality and the wider aspects around sustainability. Major investment has had a significant impact on the business, delivering customer growth and major innovation opportunities.
The Site Director is integral to this growth phase, leading and building the team through this critical transition. The ability to focus on the strategic long-term plan while reacting to the immediate day-to-day and change agenda requires an agile and ambitious individual. At the same time, this business is people-centric and has long servers who are valued members, so engaged and inclusive leadership is key in terms of approach.

As Site Director, the role will involve:
- Leadership and management of the operation, driving the site forward setting clear expectations.
- Visible and in touch with the site team daily.
- Ensuring maximum efficiency and output while working strategically.
- Implementation of robust data-capture and KPI systems
- Collation and analysis of data for weekly SMT meetings and presentation to the Board.
- Driving process improvement and other CI initiatives to ensure consistent quality output.
Ideal background:
- Senior Operations role in an FMCG or food business essential.
- Proven ability in leadership, building and developing teams in demanding manufacturing environments.
- A bright and enquiring mind, able to drive solutions and plan strategically.
- Significant experience of production management in the FMCG or food industry.
- A good understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven success in process improvement, introduction of data capture and S&OP processes.
- Structure and organised approach.
- Ideally a background in automated manufacturing processes.
- Previous P&L responsibility.
- Six Sigma or lean manufacturing training would be a significant advantage.
