Derby | £110,000 + bonus + car
Boden Group is supporting a leading global organisation with the discreet appointment of an experienced Operations Director/Site Director to lead a large, complex and highly regulated site.
This is a senior leadership position with full responsibility for operational performance, client relationships, commercial delivery and the continued development of a substantial on-site team.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of a large integrated facilities management contract
- Provide clear leadership to a multidisciplinary workforce of approximately 100 on-site employees
- Build a trusted, strategic relationship with senior client stakeholders
- Take ownership of the site P&L, budgets, forecasting and overall commercial performance
- Ensure the safe, compliant and consistent delivery of technical, engineering and facilities services
- Drive service improvement, operational efficiency and stronger levels of employee engagement
- Oversee the performance of internal teams, specialist partners and subcontractors
- Support long-term site development, transformation and estate planning activity
- Identify opportunities to improve services, increase value and support future contract growth
- Maintain high standards across health and safety, compliance, risk management and governance
- Develop the leadership team and create a positive, accountable and high-performing culture
- Provide regular reporting on operational, financial and service performance

The person:
We are looking for a commercially astute and credible operational leader with experience managing a large, technical or complex environment.

You will ideally bring:
- Senior operational leadership experience within facilities management, engineering, manufacturing, defence, infrastructure or another highly regulated sector
- A strong understanding of engineering or technical services
- Proven responsibility for budgets, P&L performance and commercial decision-making
- Experience leading large and diverse operational teams
- The ability to build credibility quickly with demanding senior stakeholders
- A practical, resilient and visible leadership style
- Experience driving change, improving performance and gaining the trust of established teams
