QLM Search is partnering with a leading high growth dairy manufacturing business to appoint a Site Director to lead one of its key manufacturing operations.
This is a broad site leadership role with responsibility for people, operations and overall site performance. We are looking for someone who knows their way around a complex manufacturing environment, understands the realities of running a 24/7 operation and is comfortable dealing with the challenges and ambiguity that come with it.
Just as importantly, this is a people-led role. The Site Director will lead a unionised workforce and will need to build credibility across the site, from the shop floor through to senior leadership. They will be visible, approachable, and able to bring people with them whilst maintaining clear standards and accountability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
