Job Title: Document Controller
Reporting to: Document Controller Manager
Role Purpose
This role will be site based. The Document Controller will manage the day-to-day documentation to be used on the project site. The key job functions will be to manage the flow of documents as part of the deliverable life cycle, providing a clear audit trail of incoming and outgoing documentation using the procedures and systems both manually and electronically.
The jobholder will control and issue all client accepted documentation to be used on site. They will work in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure smooth management of project deliverables. The Document Controller will work within the project workspace Autodesk Forma (ACC) and Omexom’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
Responsibilities & Duties
Including but not limited to the following:
- Create and maintain a transmittal log for construction deliverables.
- Print and circulate all hardcopy drawings to site teams via signed transmittal.
- Manage the revision of project deliverables ensuring the latest deliverables are available and superseded deliverables be removed from circulation.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports on deliverables to internal team.
- Work with all stakeholders on the project.
- Manage Internal workflows for project deliverables within project workspace.
- Quality checking all deliverables before issuing.
- Apply the required stamp on drawings being circulated.
- Ensure compliance with Omexom Quality Management System.

Person Specification
Qualifications and experience
The jobholder shall be result-oriented and a problem-solving individual and possess:
- Previous experience as a Document Controller working in a project-based environment.
- Knowledge of Document Management System and/or Common Data Environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, able to relate to staff at all levels.
- A good standard of educational attainment with a minimum requirement for GCSE passes in English and Mathematics.
- Strong IT skills including use of Microsoft Suite and PDF editors, display ability to quickly learn new skills and become familiar with new software.
- Possess the ability to use initiative to ensure new skills and tasks are picked up easily.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is advantageous but not required.
