Job Description

Your goal will be to ensure that the site manufacturing & support activities, without interruption, without any facilities shortages and/or any issues thereof. You will achieve 100% compliance to Local legal regulations, Quality, Health Safety & Environment management systems and standards. You are responsible for the management and maintenance of site facilities, buildings and equipment(s) (hardware & software).

How you will contribute

  • Be accountable for Electrical legislative compliance, which is base for all UK sites
  • Be accountable for PSM7 and the site electrical standard, which is base for all UK & Ireland sites
  • Liaise with National Grid for any planned maintenance work and any reactive issues linked to connection to their network
  • Ensure that all intrusive HV/LV electrical maintenance carried out in compliance with MDLZ & UK standards, liaising with multiple contractors working directly for MDLZ or indirectly through FM incumbent
  • Manage the Electrical infrastructure maintenance and ensure all corrective actions are completed, managing the following contract in direct (Tegg, Thermal imaging report, Panel maintenance…)
  • Review with FM incumbent maintenance of the following and ensure all corrective actions are completed for (Earthing & Lightening, PFC, Surge protection, Continuity testing, Fixed wiring testing…)
  • Organise all electrical shutdown with 3rd party liaising with the operation team
  • Lead electrical shutdown to ensure safe completion liaising with 3rd party contractors
  • Manage small electrical improvement, repair or energy savings project
  • Manage record training for all HV/LV/First Aid
  • Organise HV Training (3 yearly) delivery with external vendors for all AP/SAP liaising with all UK & Ireland sites
  • Organise Electrical First Aid Training (3 yearly) delivery with external vendors for all BV AP/ SAP
  • Deliver LV Training (2 yearly) for all internal MDLZ technicians and LV authorised contractors
  • Review electrical compliance for projects on campus
  • Audit all site substations (*14) - Monthly
  • Liaise with Authorised Engineer for annual audit of substation, electrical installation and site standard
  • Develop electrical network roadmap to future state in connection with BD&E team
  • Support creation of specifications for new project linked with electrical network upgrade
  • Support critical electrical reactive issues
  • Support automation troubleshooting and enhancement for all utilities
  • Support the meter network in changing failing meter (hands on as required) and develop report with 3rd party vendor

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Experienced Electrical Engineer (NVQ, 18th edition)
  • HV experience
  • Automation experience preferred (Rockwell PLC & Network)
  • Flexibility required to support electrical shutdown
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ideally you will have experience working within a large matrix organisation
