Site Engineer - Main Contractor

A Tier 1 Main Contractor needs an experienced Site Engineer to join a major new development in Wandsworth, one of London's most prestigious regeneration projects. The project forms part of the next phase of development.

About the Role

The Role

As a Site Engineer, you will provide technical and engineering support across the project, working closely with the Site and Project Management teams to ensure works are delivered accurately, safely and to programme.

Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying construction works.
  • Providing engineering support to the Site Management team.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information.
  • Checking works are being constructed to the correct levels, lines and tolerances.
  • Liaising with subcontractors and site teams.
  • Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supporting QA, ITPs and handover documentation.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the programme.

Qualifications

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline is desirable.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major construction projects.
  • Strong setting-out experience.
  • Experience within residential, high-rise, commercial or mixed-use projects.
  • Confident reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Good understanding of construction methods and processes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
