Site Engineer

Location: East Anglia (Suffolk / Ipswich) – Project Based
Package: Competitive salary plus company car or car allowance
Additional: Option to lodge away from home (accommodation / allowance)

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering works on a project based in East Anglia. You will be responsible for delivering a defined scope of works safely, on programme, and to specification, working closely with site teams, subcontractors and designers.

This is a site‑based role with flexibility for candidates who are willing to lodge away from home if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a section of works in line with programme, quality and safety requirements
  • Carry out and manage setting‑out for line and level
  • Assist with the development and implementation of construction methodologies
  • Produce and review method statements, risk assessments and permits
  • Ensure Inspection & Test Plans and quality checks are completed in line with works
  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors and supervisors to deliver activities safely
  • Maintain accurate site records, surveys, as‑built information and reporting
  • Support short‑term planning and progress reporting
  • Promote high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering or construction
  • Strong understanding of setting‑out, construction methodology and site delivery
  • Knowledge of health, safety and quality requirements
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate site activities
  • Good communication and organisational skills
