Role Description
The Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Swindon, responsible for supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. In this position, the Site Engineer oversees construction and installation activities, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and in line with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

The role also involves:
- Conducting site inspections
- Identifying and resolving technical issues
- Collaborating with project managers and designers to optimize solutions that extend asset life and improve environmental performance
The Site Engineer is expected to:
- Contribute to continuous improvement
- Support health and safety initiatives
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering related to water and wastewater infrastructure, including familiarity with MEICAT and capital maintenance activities.
- Experience in site supervision, construction management, and coordination of contractors and suppliers on utility or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, with the ability to ensure compliance and promote safe working practices.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation, with solid problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., degree or HNC/HND in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering) or equivalent experience in the water sector.
- Experience in water and wastewater capital project delivery, demand management, or network infrastructure is highly beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to work on-site across project locations as required.
