Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer (Aviation - Civil Engineering)
Location: Leeds Bradford Airport
Company Overview
AmcoGiffen is a leading infrastructure services company, actively involved in various projects and frameworks across the UK aviation sector. Our Aviation business unit is expanding, and we seek a dedicated Site / Senior Site Engineer to contribute to our ongoing success at key airports.
Position Summary
As a Site / Senior Site Engineer in our Aviation team, you will oversee the management of multiple civil engineering projects, particularly airside at Leeds Bradford Airport. You will ensure that all work adheres to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, playing a vital role in successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to Site Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality responsibilities for all site activities.
- Review and interpret project drawings and specifications.
- Conduct setting out and surveying tasks on-site.
- Supervise site works, including management of labour, plant, and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including a detailed diary.
- Manage material ordering and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop daily and weekly work plans while assisting in the creation of Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, and Inspection Test Plans.
- Oversee the performance and management of subcontractors and engineers as needed.
Requirements
Experience
Extensive background as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer, specifically with aviation projects and frameworks.
Education
Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering.
Skills
- Proven setting out expertise.
- Demonstrated successful project delivery experience on Airfield works.
- Knowledge of civil Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL).
Certifications
- Ability to obtain an Airside pass (Basic Disclosure Certificate).
- DfT recognised General Security Awareness Training.
Background
5-year checkable work history (required for security pass clearance)
License
Clean UK driving license.
