Data Centre Site Supervisor
Insight Global are seeking a Data Centre Site Supervisor for a leading critical infrastructure and data centre services client.
This position requires 5 days onsite in Swindon, England for a 6-month contract.
The successful candidate will support a major live data centre project, working closely with site management, commissioning teams, contractors, and vendors as the project progresses through key commissioning phases. This is a highly visible role that combines technical commissioning knowledge with site supervision, quality oversight, safety management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating contractors, monitoring installation activities, reviewing QA/QC and commissioning documentation, overseeing testing activities, tracking project progress, and helping resolve technical and operational issues across multiple workstreams. The role will also involve supporting the installation and commissioning of critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, batteries, transformers, switchgear, and switchboards.

Must-Have Requirements Include:
- Strong experience supervising work on large-scale data centre projects
- Deep understanding of commissioning processes and commissioning levels (L1-L5)
- Experience with QA/QC procedures, tagging systems, and commissioning documentation
- Knowledge of commissioning activities such as primary and secondary injection testing, control circuit wiring testing, and wire identification
- Experience working with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems and battery systems
- Hands-on exposure to switchgear, switchboards, UPS systems, or related electrical distribution equipment
- Strong contractor coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to identify risks and resolve issues before they impact project delivery

Certifications Required:
- ECS Card
- CSCS/CSES Card
- Triple STS certification (or equivalent site safety qualification)
Plusses Include:
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centre projects
- Previous involvement transitioning projects between commissioning phases
- Experience working on live mission-critical environments
- Familiarity with commissioning management systems and completion tracking tools
- Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and documentation standards within data centre construction and commissioning environments
